Madame Guyon was sick as a child and rejected by her mother, married for money by her mother into a difficult relationship. Put in the Bastille for  years by coniving of her own brother with the bishop so he could access her money from her dead husband. She had a healing gift and was prophetic, but rejected by the religious church.  This is about how the life of suffering can come to a life of extraordinary faith and power.
